The upcoming New Moon in July 2023 is expected to be awe-inspiring as the Moon and Sun converge in Cancer, creating a deeply emotional and transformative event.
This New Moon sets itself apart through its opposition to the powerful planet, Pluto, often associated with themes of obsessions, money, power, sex, control, and the rebirth cycle. It provides an opportunity to delve deeply into our Plutonian depths, confront our inner shadows, and rid ourselves of any patterns that no longer serve us, allowing us to achieve our highest potential.
Additionally, Pluto’s square to the lunar nodes (south node in Libra and north node in Aries) reveals relationships based on unbalanced polarization, highlighting the importance of mutual respect and understanding in our connections with others.
The lunar node in Aries reflects the unstable Aries’ manifestation of the patriarchal paradigm that seeks to overpower nature, women, children, and spirituality.
Cancer, however, is the energy of the surface of the Sea, allowing the waves to guide us where we need to go and encouraging us to get curious and discover what lies beneath the waves while letting go of the past.
This opposition will ignite intense emotions leading to and following the New Moon in Cancer.
